After the brief was discussed I started looking at different packaging techniques similar to that what needed to be created for this PPD pack.
It needed to hold information discussed with the client.
Designed by Design Ranch this press pack for Webster House to all kinds of publications, hotels, wedding planners, agencies and individual clients. In the same way I wanted to do the same thing however targeting potential photographers agencies for internships or placements.
Modifying the shape and content of this press pack would hold the contents and information the target would need to see and also act as a creative CV for my client.
I was interested in using a foil print within this work and found the nessassary information I would need to acieve my goal.
Small mock-ups were quickly made with different stocks and colours. As this was a quick turn around brief, this needed to be printed using a lazer printer (black & white) as this would pick up the foil when pressed, whereas an Ink printer would not pick up the foil.
A full scale mock-up was made so that all the modified changes were accurate.
The business card would sit beneath the lid of this pack and could be removed at the receivers convenience
I discovered that the process used did not cover all of the area exposed when foiling, However this produced an interesting effect. Of course I went with it, but this would not be achieved when using the proper method, Foil press.
Once every document had been printed on the stock choice as (individual documents) the next stage was to bind them together. Each of these (separate) documents were designed so that they could be ordered or re ordered inn their own pages depending on the relevant information being dispatched.
To do this, each document had two areas removed, then bound with a selected red ribbon.
Temporary folded paper used to bind the documents.
