With this design I wanted to combine photography element and a personal element to Chris's identity. I kept to basics witht he photography element, which was the design of a shutter within a camera. The personal element was a Poppy. Both these elements worked well together and straight away started to drive the design.
The interesting part was incorporating both these elements and not creating something that looked like something completely different. For example some sot of fan/propeller.
I found trimming this with some sort of 'lens' made this work better.
Also I had the idea of trimming the stationary to the curvature of the logo.
I discussed this with Chris and explained this idea, however one this was mocked-up we both decided this wasnt as strong as the normal format.
